In 2006 beloved residents Judy Henderson and her mother Gladys Bridges saw a need for educational and cultural enrichment programs for the residents of Chattahoochee Hills. They opened a library, provided tutoring, workshops, recreational programs, and social activities for the community. As the library began to grow Judy noticed that people were coming to the library for books, but needed so much more. The need for aid through food, medical and financial assistance was dire. Community Brickworks was born.
Every person has their own “bricks”, education and skills that lead to a successful life. Those bricks can help build a strong foundation for others in the community in need.
In September 2020, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, the community lost our beloved Judy. Through donations and tireless volunteer hours, Judy’s legacy continues to thrive in Chattahoochee Hills. By combining the talents of volunteers with the needs of their neighbors, Brickworks enhances the lives of all.
